Money is made out of cotton not paper

Did you know that money and cash are made out of cotton not paper, since paper notes can get destroyed by water in the event that they are made of paper. Likewise cotton notes endures longer. 

A prior form of this story said the U.S. paper cash was 100% cotton. U.S. notes are 75% cotton fiber and 25% material. Material is gotten from flax.
